The Nexon EV scored 29.86 out of 32.00 points for the adult occupants, while it scored 44.95 out of 49.00 points for the child passengers. As standard, Tata offers it six airbags, three-point seatbelts and a seatbelt reminder for all seats, a pre-tensioner with a load-limiter for the front seats, ISOFIX mounts in the rear, a manual airbag on/off switch for the co-passenger, and ESP.

The Nexon EV is available in Mid range (MR) and Long range (LR) versions with a range of 325km and 465km, respectively. The new motor coupled to a 30.2kWh battery pack delivers 129PS, while it makes 145PS when paired with the 40.5kWh unit. The torque output of 215Nm remains identical though. The updated Nexon EV, for the first time, comes with vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) features, allowing users to charge their electronic appliances, gadgets, tools, as well as other EVs.

Tata Punch EV

On the flip side, the Punch EV received 31.46 out of 32.00 points in adult passenger protection and 45.00 out of 49.00 points in child passenger protection. Notably, Bharat NCAP tested its Empowered+ S Long Range variant. However, the five-star rating applies to all variants. Further, it comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS, ESP, hill hold control, and three-point seatbelts with a seatbelt reminder system for all passengers as standard.

Tata offers the Punch EV in two battery packs - Medium Range and Long Range. The MR gets a 25kWh battery pack with an MIDC range of up to 315km, while the LR comes with a larger 35kWh unit and has a range of up to 421km. Both battery packs are paired with a single motor that makes 82PS and 114Nm of torque with the former and 122PS and 190Nm when coupled to the latter. Meanwhile, the Punch EV can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in 56 minutes with a 50kW DC charger.
