Tata Punch facelift in the works; Launch expected in a few months
Since its launch in 2021, the Tata Punch has grown massively in popularity and is consistently one of the best-sellers every passing month. The Punch is now due for a mid-life facelift and we expect to see the updated car in the next couple of months. Upgrades will bring the car more in line with the current gen of products from Tata Motors like the Harrier and Nexon.
The Punch facelift is expected to have new headlights and a revised front grille, both of which will likely take inspiration from the front end of the Punch EV. The side profile will benefit from a fresh set of alloy wheels, the rear is expected to remain more or less the same with probably just a few minor tweaks.
Tata Punch facelift: FeaturesThe 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a wireless charging pad, C-type fast charging and an armrest will make its way to the updated Punch to variants as it is already something common among the Nexon and Punch EV. Sources also tell us that there will be a few new variants and Tata will make the sing-pane sunroof available across a few trims. Currently, the Punch is offered in 5 major variants Pure, Adventure, Adventure Rhythm, Accomplished and Accomplished Dazzle S.
Tata Punch facelift: PowertrainThe 1.2-litre petrol engine, which produces 88PS and 115Nm of torque, will remain in the facelifted Tata Punch. It will be paired with an AMT or a 5-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the CNG model will continue to operate, generating 73.5PS and 103Nm when powered by CNG. The addition of the AMT gearbox option for the CNG model could also be on the cards as Tata already offers the same with the Tiago and Tigor CNG models.
