Tata Punch surpasses 2 lakh units production milestone
The Tata Punch has achieved a significant production milestone by crossing the two lakh units mark. The SUV has accomplished this feat in less than two years since its launch in the Indian market, with the Punch surpassing the one lakh production milestone in August 2022.
The Tata Punch comes in four variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. The SUV is available in a choice of nine colours schemes, including Grassland Beige, Foliage Green, Tornado Blue, Calypso Red, Meteor Bronze, Atomic Orange, Tropical Mist, Daytona Grey, and Orcus White.
Tata Punch: PowertrainUnder the bonnet, the Tata Punch features a 1.2-litre, inline three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 86PS and 113Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to either a five-speed manual or an AMT unit.
Tata Punch: FeaturesTata Punch comes packed with several features, such as a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, iRA connected car features, a semi-digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio and phone controls, cruise control, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, powered ORVMs, rear AC vents, engine start-stop switch, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera, among others.
Tata Punch: Prices and Rivals
The prices for the Punch start at Rs 6 lakh and go up to Rs 9.52 lakh (both ex-showroom, Mumbai). It is also available in three different customisation packs: Rhythm, Dazzle, and iRA as optional extras. Meanwhile, the SUV rivals the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, and Citroen C3 in India. Tata will soon face a new rival, the Hyundai Exter.
