Tata Safari facelift interior pictures reveal fresh details
Tata has been working on the Safari, Harrier, and Nexon facelift and all three test mules have been spotted testing on multiple occasions. The upcoming Safari facelift test mule recently spied testing again. This time, the spy photos offer glimpses of its camouflaged interior, revealing fresh details. Meanwhile, the Safari facelift is likely to make its debut sometime around this festive season.
As seen in the spy pictures, the heavily camouflaged cabin hints at a new design layout. The most significant updates will be in the form of a new Avinya and Curvv concepts-inspired multi-spoke steering wheel and a fresh dashboard and centre console. The new steering wheel may feature a small display and paddle shifters. However, it is likely to continue with the same new fully digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which debuted with the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Edition at the Auto Expo 2023. Further, it is believed that the Safari facelift will also benefit from new climate control switches, which could comprise a range of capacitive touch buttons with haptic feedback and a couple of toggle switches. On top of that Tata may offer a new Range Rover-inspired gear selector.
Other cabin features are expected to include a wireless charging pad, a round-shaped drive mode selector, multi-colour ambient lighting, USB Type-C fast charging ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and electronic parking brake with auto hold, among others.
Upcoming Tata Safari Exterior
While the Safari is likely to retain its silhouette, there will be several significant changes at its front and rear ends. The SUV will get a new face with a new full length LED light bar, new vertically stacked LED headlamps, a new grille, and a new front bumper. It will also come with a new set of alloy wheels, probably larger than the current units. At the back, the upcoming Safari facelift could come equipped with redesigned taillamps and a light stripe running across the width.
Upcoming Tata Safari PowertrainAlthough we expect the Safari facelift to carry the same 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170PS and 350Nm of torque, Tata is likely to offer it with a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol unit that it showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. This motor generates 170PS and 280Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a manual and an automatic unit.
