The Land Rover Defender V8 by Works Bespoke is as classic as it gets

It's 2024 and Land Rover has announced a new version of the Classic Defender. This revived legend will be called the "Classic Defender V8 by Works Bespoke" and it sources its power from a V8 engine and is fully restored under the Land Rover Classic department's new Works Bespoke personalization service.

The iconic Defender has been "remastered by hand" by experts at Land Rover Classic in the UK and is available in the shorter 90 and more useful 110 versions. Customers can choose from Land Rover's Heritage, Contemporary, Premium, or "SV Metallic" paint treatments to add a unique touch to the outside of their Classic Defender. In addition, a variety of accessories are available, such as side steps, a roof rack, a ladder, an expedition cage and a winch. The wheels are available in 16-inch steel or 18-inch alloy options.

There are, of course, a ton of modification choices available, ranging from a roof-mounted tent that can be accessed by a ladder to a camper conversion that turns the back half of the cabin into a comfortable living space.

JLR's renowned 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine is located under the hood. With 410PS, the engine can propel the car from rest to 100kph in just 5.6 seconds and onto a top speed of 170kph. In addition to the new engine, there is also an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.

With Eibach springs, anti-roll bars, and Bilstein dampers, the Classic Defender V8 by Works Bespoke breathes new life into the legendary off-road vehicle. Land Rover also installs four-piston Alcon brakes with 300-mm rear discs and 335-mm front discs to stay current.

The inside of the modified Defender is reupholstered in one of five leather choices for the seats, door cards, roof lining, and dashboard. There are two types of seats available. The first one emphasizes comfort and the other provides bigger bolsters and a sportier appearance. A 3.5-inch touchscreen with a Land Rover Classic Infotainment System, together with Bluetooth, DAB radio, and sat-nav, is located in the centre of the dash.
