Top 5 cheapest petrol automatic cars in India
Given the increasing commotion on India's crowded roadways, automatic cars appear to have gained much more traction in the Indian market over manual vehicles. Shifting gears yourself in the midst of bumper-to-bumper traffic tends to get annoying for daily commuters and hence they inevitably prefer an automatic transmission. Due to this increase in demand for automatic vehicles, manufacturers have also claimed that it has affected vehicles sales and the growing number speaks for itself. But while an automatic gearbox is extremely desirable, for a price-conscious customer this could pose a challenge.
So if you're in the market to buy an automatic with a healthy petrol powertrain and aren't willing to dig too deep into your pockets, we've listed down 5 of the cheapest petrol cars available on sale with an automatic transmission.
The Santro name has been around for more than a decade now and is one of the favourites in the small city category. A new Hyundai Santro with an AMT gearbox will set you back Rs 5.72 lakh and that's quite the bargain. Its 1.1-litre engine makes 69PS and 99 Nm of torque and an excellent 20.3kmpl. The Santro is quite a smart-looking vehicle as well and comes with features like rear parking sensors, a 7-inch touchscreen and even rear AC vents.
The current Maruti Celerio is powered by a 1.0-litre K10B petrol engine that produces 67 PS and 90 Nm in terms of power and torque. While the Celerio is a very basic-looking vehicle, it still proves to be an excellent choice among the cheap automatic cars. Its AMT transmission has proven to be brilliant in traffic and manages to return 21.64kmpl. With a multi-functional steering wheel, power windows and air conditioning, the Celerio automatic starts at just Rs 5.55 lakh

5) Renault Kwid
Quite easily one of the better-looking vehicles on the list happens to be the cheapest vehicle.
