Top five best-selling cars in February 2024
The individual sales figures for various cars in February 2024 have been released, and Maruti not only maintains its top spot in the list of best-selling cars but also dominates the chart of the top five best-sellers in India. In fact, four out of the top five selling vehicles are from Maruti Suzuki. Let's delve deeper to explore the highest-selling cars from the past month.
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR secures the first spot on the list in terms of the highest sales in February 2024. With 19,412 units sold, it claimed the title of the highest-selling car in India. The WagonR is available in LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus variants, offering both petrol and CNG powertrain options. Prices for the WagonR range between Rs 5.55 lakh and Rs 7.38 lakh (ex-showroom). It is worth noting that the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, with 19,630 unit sales, was the best-selling model in India in January 2024.
Following closely, the Tata Punch secured the second spot, making it the only non-Maruti Suzuki car on the list. The brand sold 18,438 units of the SUV, earning it the title of the second highest-selling model in the country. The Tata Punch is available in four variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative, with prices ranging from Rs 6.13 lakh to Rs 10.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is offered in petrol, CNG, and EV powertrain options. In January 2024, the Punch was the second best-seller with 17,978 units sold.
Maruti's Dzire sedan recorded sales of 15,837 units in February 2024, moving up to the third spot from the fifth position in January 2024, where the carmaker sold 16,773 units. The Dzire comes in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus, priced at Rs 6.57-9.39 lakh (ex-showroom). It is also available in two CNG variants.
Closely following the Maruti Dzire, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza recorded 15,765 units sold in the previous month. Notably, the Brezza is the only sub-four-meter SUV on the list. It is available in LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi variants with a 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine. There are also four CNG variants on offer. In January 2024, Maruti recorded sales of 15,303 units of the Brezza.
Last but not least, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga saw sales of 15,519 units in February 2024, up from 14,632 units sold in January 2024. The MPV's price ranges between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 13.03 lakh (both ex-showroom). Notably, the Ertiga is available in both petrol and CNG powertrains.
