Tork Kratos R gets new Eco+ riding mode; offers longer range
Pune-based two-wheeler start-up Tork Motors has updated the Kratos R with a new riding mode, called Eco+, with a claimed to offer more range. With the new mode, the electric motorcycle can now provide a range of over 150km on a single charge in urban riding conditions compared to the previous range of 120km. The Kratos R promises an IDC range of 180km, which is now closer to the new range figure. Meanwhile, the Kratos R is priced at Rs 1,67,499 (ex-showroom, Pune, after FAME II subsidy).
Tork Kratos R Eco+ ModeWhile the Eco+ mode is an addition to the Kratos R, it already come with three other ride modes, namely Eco, City, and Sport. Tork Motors says that this mode is suitable for city dwellers who mostly need longer range over performance. Having said that, the new Eco+ restricts the top speed of the Kratos R at 35kmph, whereas the Sport unlocks a top speed of 105kmph. The company has announced that the new mode will be available in the new models of the Kratos R. In fact, the existing users of the motorcycle will also benefit from the new mode, probably via a software over-the-air update.

Tork Motors has equipped the Kratos R with all-LED lighting, a reverse mode, a fully digital instrument console, regenerative braking, smartphone connectivity, a USB charging socket, front storage box, OTA update, geo fencing, anti-theft system, find my vehicle, motor walk assist, crash alert, and track mode, among others.
Tork Kratos R PowertrainPowered by an IP67-rated 4kWh battery pack, the Kratos R gets a axial flux motor that delivers 9kW and 38Nm of torque. Using a fast charger, it can be charged from zero to 80 per cent in an hour.
