Toyota Kirloskar Motor announces price hike across entire range
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a price increase throughout its range, effective July 5, 2023. While the company has not released the increased pricing of the models, the firm has said that the increase is due to an increase in input costs.
The Glanza, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, Fortuner, Legender, Camry, Hilux and Vellfire are the cars that Toyota currently retails in India.
A spokesperson from Toyota said "Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced that the company has realigned the prices of its models with effect from 5th July 2023. The increase was necessitated to partially offset the rising input cost. As a customer-centric company, we remain committed to cater to the ever-evolving needs of the market and all efforts have been made to ensure that the impact of the cost increase passing on to our customers is minimum."
The waiting period for most of Toyota's vehicles is between 1 to 4 months save for the Toyota Innova Hycross Hybrid and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Hybrid which is up to over a year. The 2 hybrid cars are in such great demand that Toyota has stopped accepting bookings for the Hycross top variants. You can read more about it here.
The Toyota Innova Hycross is priced from Rs 18.82 lakh to Rs 30.26 lakh. Speaking of the Hycross, yesterday, Maruti Suzuki launched the rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto in the country with prices starting from Rs. 24.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
