The Corolla is the world's best selling 4-wheeler. Nearly 4 crore Corollas have been sold worldwide since the first generation was rolled out  in 1966.

Aesthetically, the new Corolla is 3.9 inches longer than its siblings and gets bolder grilles and light assembliesâ€" these features are bound to stand out. In terms of practicality, the changed driving position and increased legroom are added bonuses.

Panel gaps have been reduced slightly, though the shut line between bonnet and front fender is noticeably thinner at 4.5 millimeters, from 5.4 millimeters on the previous version.

The new Corolla will be up for sale in the US, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa

The 2014 Corolla has four variants: L, LE, S and LE Eco. Two 1.8-litre four-cylinder engines will be on offer. The L, LE and S variants will get the 1.8-litre engine that churns out 132Ps.
