TVS Raider entry-level single-piece seat variant launched; prices start at Rs 93,719
TVS has introduced a new entry-level single-piece seat variant of the Raider in India, with prices starting at Rs 93,719 (ex-showroom). This new variant is positioned below the split-seat and range-topping SX trim levels. Notably, the bike maker has discontinued the previous base-spec drum variant of the Raider. Thus, all three variants are now available with a disc brake.
TVS Raider: Colours
TVS offers different paint options with the Raider depending on the variant. For reference, the new entry-level single-piece seat variant can be only opted in a single colour, Striking Red. On the other hand, the split-seat variant can be had in four paint jobs: Fiery Yellow, Blazing Blue, Striking Red, and Wicked Black, whereas the Raider SX is available with only Wicked Black and Fiery Yellow.
TVS Raider: Features
TVS has equipped the Raider with numerous features, such as an LED headlamp and taillamp, under-seat storage with a USB socket, and a silent start system with an idle engine start/stop. In addition, the Raider benefits from a five-inch TFT display with SmartXonnect and navigation. This screen offers 1,000nits brightness, an IP69K rating, and an ambient sensor with adaptive brightness function. Notably, the Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect app claimed to have about 99 connected features. However, the new entry-level single-piece seat trim gets a reverse LCD display.
TVS Raider: Equipment
The new TVS Raider single-piece seat variant, alongside the split-seat and SX, is outfitted with telescopic front forks and a five-step adjustable monoshock. Further, the motorcycle gets 80/100 17-section front tyres and 100/90 17-section rear tyres. Since there is no drum brake variant, all the variants come with a 240mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake setup.
TVS Raider: Engine and Gearbox
Powering the Raider is a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled, three-valve engine producing 11.3PS at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox. With this, the Raider can achieve zero to 60kmph in 5.9 seconds.Â
TVS Raider: Prices
The new Raider single-piece seat variant costs Rs. 93,719, while the split-seat variant is priced at Rs 94,719 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). On the other hand, the top-spec Raider costs Rs 1,00,820 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it more expensive by Rs 7,000 than the base-spec Raider.
