Upcoming Ford MPV design patent filed
Ford will be returning to India soon and has already filed several patents including the new Endeavour. Now, the brand has filed for another patent and from the looks of it, Ford will also be tackling the MPV space upon its re-entry.
The leaked pictures show a sleek MPV with clean lines and trademark Ford features. Headlamps offer a stylish design and integrated LED DRLs. A similar effect may be observed in the big, distinctive Ford grille.
Moving to the side, the MPV has a noticeable amount of cladding, which is meant to give it a more aggressive road image. The alloy wheels continue to be the focal point of attention since they are both aggressive and visually appealing.
Currently, the entry-level MPV segment is led by Maruti Ertiga with the XL6, Kia Carens, and Toyota Rumion coming right behind it. Instead of directly competing with these existing MPVs, Ford might just its forthcoming MPV as a more premium alternative.
Apart from this, no other details have been disclosed yet. Speculations suggest that the brand could possibly launch the MPV with a diesel powertrain as well.
According to sources, the car might include a huge touchscreen entertainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, spacious interiors, voice commands, multi-zone air conditioning, and connection technology. ADAS features are expected to be available on higher models.
Regarding the debut date, nothing has been determined at this time. According to reports, the MPV will be unveiled somewhere in 2025.
