Upcoming Hyundai Exter will come with sunroof and dashcam
Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has officially stated that the Exter SUV would be launched in India on July 10. Hyundai has also revealed the model's primary feature highlights, which include an electronic sunroof and a dashcam with twin cameras, among other things. Pre-booking for the car is already underway.
Hyundai has revealed that the Exter will have a single-pane sunroof with voice assistance, similar to the 2023 Verna. In addition, the Exter will have a dashcam with twin cameras (front and rear) and three recording modes: Normal, Safety, and Vacation.
The upcoming Exter SUV will be available in seven primary variants, starting from EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect. Hyundai will also offer it with a CNG version and that will be available in a choice of two variants: S and SX. H-shaped LED DRLs, a dual-tone paint job, roof rails, projector headlights, LED tail lights, fake skid plates, and diamond-cut alloy wheels are among the exterior features.
Hyundai is likely to equip the Exter with a bunch of features, such as cruise control, USB Type-C charging ports, TPMS, a cooled glove box, a sizable touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ESC, VSM, HAC, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with sensors, wireless phone charging, powered ORVMs with auto-fold, and auto headlamps, among others.
The Exter will be powered by the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that powers the Grand i10 Nios. This engine produces 83PS and 114Nm and will be mated with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. This engine will also be available with a CNG kit and a 5-speed manual transmission.
We believe the prices of the Hyundai Exter to start from around Rs 6 lakh and go up to 10 lakh. Upon launch, the Exter will compete against the Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
