Upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift to get a bigger touchscreen
The facelifted Mahindra XUV300 has been observed testing in India again, this time with more full design tweaks. The previously spotted test mule was mostly sporting temporary pieces, but this fresh sighting suggests a front- and rear-end design based on the BE SUV ideas. The XUV300 redesign is set to debut early next year.
The XUV300 facelift seems to be receiving a significant external overhaul. The test mule has a fully reworked front fascia. Mahindra has taken stylistic cues from the BE05 Electric, including the slim headlights and C-shaped LED DRLs. The XUV300 will also have a more prominent front grille and bumper.
The XUV300 is projected to be more similar to the XUV700 and the future BE series, particularly in the rear. The tailgate surface is smoother, the taillights are sleeker and more C-shaped, and the registration plate is now situated on the bumper rather than the tailgate. It will also be outfitted with new alloy wheels.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: PowertrainThe engine options will remain the same and comprise a 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, a 130PS 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol, and a 117PS 1.5-litre diesel. All engines come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, with an optional 6-speed AMT available for turbo-petrol and diesel engines.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: InteriorA first look at the interior of the XUV300 facelift showcases an all-new floating touchscreen device. The XUV300 already has a 7.0-inch touchscreen built into the dashboard, but this new screen appears to be significantly bigger. A reworked centre console, new switchgear, and maybe a full-digital instrument cluster are also possibilities.
In addition, Mahindra may include new amenities in the XUV300 such as a wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and, most likely, a 360-degree camera. The sunroof, automatic climate control, steering-mounted radio controls, cruise control, six airbags, and electronic stability control are all features that should be retained.
The Mahindra XUV300 will continue to compete with the Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, and the impending Tata Nexon facelift. The current XUV300 range starts from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
