Updated Mercedes Benz EQB launched at Rs 70.90 lakh
Mercedes Benz India has just launched the EQA and as something none of us anticipated, the brand also launched the facelifted EQB at Rs 70.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model now is available in a 5-seater option and also gets a few styling tweaks. The EQB is now available in 250+ and 350 4Matic variants.
Mercedes Benz EQB 250+ (5-seater): Rs 70.90 lakh
Mercedes Benz EQB 350 4Matic (7-seater): Rs 77.50 lakh
Mercedes Benz EQB: Exterior and InteriorJust like what we see on the EQA, the EQB facelift gets a blanked-out grille with mini Mercedes stars. It also gets some new bumpers that give it a more sporty look and a full-width lightbar at the rear. The updated car also gets a new set of 19-inch AMG-styled alloy wheels.
On the inside of the car, the EQB gets the updated MBUX system, 12 speakers Burmester surround sound with Dolby Atmos, ADAS Level 2 functions, memory seats, dual-zone climate controls, a 360-degree camera, 7 airbags and a lot more.
Mercedes Benz EQB: PowertrainThe EQB 250+ gets the same powertrain as the EQA, a 70.5kWh battery with a single electric motor mounted at the front, producing 190PS and 385Nm torque. The EQB 350 4Matic gets a 66.5kWh battery pack with all-wheel drive and a total of 292PS and 520Nm of torque. Mercedes claims that in this configuration the EQB can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.2 seconds.
The smaller battery means the 350 has a WLTP range of 447 kilometres which is still good, just not as good as the 250+ which has a range of 535 kilometres. Using a DC fast charger at 100kW, the EQB facelift's battery can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 32 to 35 minutes.
Mercedes Benz: India salesMercedes-Benz also announced its best-ever H1 2024 and best-ever Q2 sales performance in India. The brand retailed a record 9262 units in the January-June 2024 period, registering a 9 percent YoY growth.
