Updated Royal Enfield Meteor 350 spotted
Royal Enfield has been actively working on numerous motorcycles, many of which have already been spotted testing in India and overseas. Recently, a new test mule of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 surfaced on the internet, revealing notable changes. Based on the spy photos, it appears that the upcoming Meteor 350 will receive several cosmetic and mechanical updates.
One notable change observed in the spy pictures is the possibility of new wire-spoke wheels replacing the alloy wheels found on the current model. The test mule showcased chrome-finished elements, such as the headlight cover, while the engine seemed to have a metallic finish instead of the all-black unit seen on the current model. Despite these alterations, the Meteor 350 is expected to retain its overall design.
In line with other recent Royal Enfield motorcycles like the 2023 Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650, the new iteration of the Meteor could feature an LED headlight. Additionally, Royal Enfield might introduce revised color schemes similar to the INT 650 and Continental GT 650. Presently, the Meteor 350 is available in a variety of 11 distinct paint options, including three dual-tone variants.
Royal Enfield Meteor 350: Features and SpecificationsRegarding features and specifications, it is anticipated that the updated Meteor 350 or its another upcoming version will carry the same hardware and features as the current model. This includes telescopic front forks, twin rear shocks, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tires, dual-channel ABS, tripper navigation, and 300mm front disc and 270mm rear disc brakes.
Royal Enfield Meteor 350: Engine, gearbox, and power output
The Meteor 350 is powered by a 349cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine coupled with a five-speed gearbox. This engine generates 20.4PS at 6,100rpm and 27Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. It is likely that the updated version will maintain the same power output figures.
Royal Enfield Meteor 350: PriceAs for the price, the existing Royal Enfield Meteor 350 starts at Rs 204,408, with the range-topping variants cost Rs 225,533 (ex-showroom Chennai). The upcoming Meteor 350 with spoke wheels might be available as a more affordable option compared to the current alloy wheels model. The brand could offer it as an entry-level variant similar to the Hunter 350. With this, the Meteor 350 is likely to undercut the current pricing and hence be more accessible.
