Updated Tata Tigor EV launched at Rs 12.49 lakh, gets more range, features
Tata Motors has updated the Tata Tigor EV with more features and a slight increase in the ARAI-rated range. Prices for the 2023 Tata Tigor EV start at Rs 12.49 lakh and go up to Rs 13.75 lakh for the new XZ Plus Lux. Existing owners will also be able to upgrade their Tigor EV with some of these features.
The Tata Tigor EV continues to be powered by a 26 kWh LFP battery pack that powers a 75PS and 170 Nm motor. Tata Motors has refined the drivetrain to increase range from 306 to 315 km. The battery pack continues to be IP 67-rated. As for charging, the Tata Tigor EV uses the CCS2 plug for fast charging that can replenish the battery for 0 to 80 per cent in an hour. Charging from a 15 A socket takes 8.5 hours to charge to the same level.
2023 Tata Tigor EV new features, regen modesThe new Tata Tigor EV can now be had in a new red paint option. Further, a new XZ Plus top variant has been added that gets you features like leatherette upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps and cruise control. There are also regen modes now as well as tech features like Zconnect connected tech, smartwatch connectivity, TPMS and a tyre puncture repair kit which will be standard across the range.
From December 2, current owners of the Tiago EV can upgrade to include the regen modes, TPMS and a tyre puncture repair kit while owners of the Tigo EV XZ Plus can also get smartwatch connectivity.
