Vespa and Disney introduce Vespa Mickey Mouse Edition scooters
On the occasion of Disney's centenary, Piaggio Group's Vespa, the iconic Italian scooter marque, has collaborated with Disney, the American multinational mass media giant, for the Disney Mickey Mouse Edition of Vespa. Meanwhile, the special edition Vespa models will be available in western markets soon.
Disney is celebrating its 100th anniversary worldwide and Vespa has joined the party with its special edition scooters. For the Mickey Mouse Edition by Vespa, the Primavera 50cc, 125cc and 150cc feature a combination of black, red, white, and yellow paints, which have represented the Walt Disney's world-famous mouse character for decades. For reference, the yellow strip on the rims of the wheels matches the colour of Mickey Mouse's shoes, while the black mirrors are reminiscent of the round ears.
Further, the side panels bear graphics of the Mickey Mouse. Not to mention, there is also a Mickey Mouse signature on the seat and front panel. Interestingly, the Vespa 50cc, 125cc, and 150cc Disney Mickey Mouse Edition by Vespa come with a new helmet featuring the same Disney livery.
Vespa India line-up
Vespa currently sells a range of 125cc and 150cc models in the country. The 125cc range comprises the SXL 125, VXL 125, and ZX 125, whereas the 150cc range SXL 150 and VXL 150.
Commenting on the occasion, Michele Colaninno, Chief Executive of global strategy, product, marketing, and innovation, Piaggio Group, said, "Dreams allow us to look to the future with optimism, even in complex times such as these. A timeless icon like Vespa could not fail to celebrate, on this very special occasion of Disney's 100th Anniversary, an equally everlasting icon like Mickey Mouse, with a tribute to creativity, imagination, light-heartedness, and fun âÂ" the very values that have always anchored Vespa. Today, as of then. This collaboration between Vespa and Disney represents the celebration of two historic companies that have a common dream: to allow everyone to express their imagination freely."
