Volkswagen ID.Aero concept debuted with a claimed range of 620km
The first global fully-electric sedan from the Volkswagen ID.Aero is an all-electric concept automobile. The sixth member of the Volkswagen ID family, the new EV has four doors.
The ID.Aero concept version is over five meters long, and the manufacturer says that aerodynamic concepts were included in the design process. The MEB (Modular Electric Drive Matrix) design of the Volkswagen Group serves as the foundation for the ID.Aero. From hatchbacks to the ID.Buzz van, this adaptable modular chassis may be used for a variety of vehicles.
In 2023, the ID.Aero, which will have a four-door fastback design, will be produced in China for the domestic market. Volkswagen did, however, add a somewhat variant ID.Aero model will also be produced in the company's German manufacturing facility for the European and American markets.
The new Volkswagen ID.Aero's front end includes the standard ID honeycombs. the fresh ID A thin light strip that runs horizontally across the front of the Aero from Volkswagen, out to the left and right of the lighted Volkswagen emblem, and over the IQ. Lightweight LED matrix headlamps that are integrated into the side panels and wings.
The 22-inch, two-tone wheels of the Volkswagen ID.Aero is incorporated flush into the wheel housings and has a turbine-inspired look.
The Volkswagen ID.Aero's comes with a battery pack with a capacity of 77 kWh is anticipated. According to the WLTP cycle, the electric luxury vehicle has a range of 620 km on a single charge. Additionally, it is claimed that the ID.Aero has a low drag coefficient of 0.23.
The Volkswagen ID.Aero will make it to production in 2023 and take on the likes of the BMW i4 and Tesla Model 3.
