Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun get new variants, prices start from Rs 16.89 lakh and Rs 16.79 lakh, respectively
After showcasing the new variants of the very successful Virtus and Taigun last month, Volkswagen India has now finally announced the prices of these variants. The Virtus was the only Volkswagen India 2.0 model without a manual transmission paired to the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine but that is not the case any more as the price for the new Virtus GT Plus MT is Rs 16.89 lakh. The Taigun GT DSG and GT Plus MT have also been launched at Rs 16.79 lakh and Rs 17.79 lakh, respectively.
Volkswagen India has also launched the 'GT Edge Limited Collection' versions of the 2 cars. A detailed price list is given below.

Volkswagen VirtusThe Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus MT sedan comes with the same 150PS and 250Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine but this time with a 6-speed manual. Something enthusiasts would truly appreciate. The Virtus 1.5 TSI MT will get the GT line treatment, which includes GT logos and blacked-out alloys.
VW has also released the 'GT Edge Limited Collection' Virtus GT Plus in manual and automatic transmissions. The special edition units will be produced in limited quantities and will feature a distinctive 'Deep Black Pearl' paint.

Furthermore, the Volkswagen Taigun receives two new variants: GT DSG and GT Plus MT. Volkswagen India assures that there is a Taigun to meet the needs of every customer as now there are 9 variant choices spanning the Dynamic 1.0-litre TSI and Performance Line 1.5-litre TSI EVO engines.
The 'GT Edge Limited Collection' stretches to the Taigun but not just with a 'Deep Black Pearl' paint scheme but also an additional 'Carbon Steel Grey Matte finish' on offer.
