What is the Harley-Davidson X 350

Harley-Davidson recently launched its most affordable motorcycle to date, in China. It is called the X350 and it has been developed in collaboration with China-based Qianjiang (QJ) Motor as a result of their previously announced partnership.

The Harley-Davidson X 350 is a barebones flat-track-style motorcycle that borrows its cues from the bigger HD Sportster XR1200X. The bike gets a circular LED headlamp and a single-pod instrument console and features a teardrop-shaped 13.5-litre fuel tank with a stepped seat that sits 817mm off the ground. Ground clearance is at 185mm and in all, the bike weighs 180kg.

The X 350 is powered by a 353cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine that is shared with QJ Motor's SRK 350. It develops a max 36.2PS of power and 31Nm of torque being mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The X 350 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wearing Pirelli Angel ST treads. The bike features a USD front fork and a mono-shock at the rear, which also be adjusted for preload and rebound. Braking is handled by single petal-type discs with a 4-piston calliper at the front and a single rotor with a single-piston calliper at the rear.

The Harley-Davidson X 350 was launched at 33,388 Yuan (Rs 3.94 lakh approximately) in China. So it will be costly to say the least, if it comes to India. However there are no plans on that happening as yet.
