Yamaha launches 2023 R15 V4, MT-15, FZ-X, and FZ-S in India

Yamaha has launched the updated 2023 model year motorcycles, such as the R15 V4, R15 M, FZ-X, MT-15 V2.0, and FZ-S V4 Deluxe in India with new features and colour schemes. Above all, all 2023 motorcycles also come equipped with OBD-II (on-board diagnostics system) to adhere to upcoming RDE emission norms.

The most significant changes in the 2023 R15M come in the form of YZF-R1-inspired new colour TFT console, new switchgear to operate the instrument cluster, and LED blinkers. The new Bluetooth-enabled display features a gear-shift indicator, track and street mode displays, phone battery level icon, TCS and quick-shifter indicators, clock, and trip meters, among others. Apart from the new features, the R15M retains its Metallic Grey paint job and overall design. It also carries forward all the bells and whistles from its predecessor.

On the other hand, Yamaha now offers the standard 2023 R15 V4 with a new Dark Knight colour. Additionally, it is available with Metallic Red and Racing Blue. The new shade features dark matte paint with a few inserts in gold and golden rims. However, the 2023 R15 V4 does not come with LED flashers and a colour TFT screen. It retains the old readout with Bluetooth connectivity from the previous model. Powering the R15M and R15 V4 is the same 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. It delivers 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.

2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2.0

The 2023 version of the MT-15 V2.0 now gets dual-channel ABS, LED turn signals at the front and rear, and a traction control system. It is also available with a new paint, Metallic Black DLX. In addition, Yamaha offers Cyan Storm, Racing Blue, and Ice Fluo Vermillion colour schemes. Meanwhile, the naked motorcycle carries the same design as its predecessor. The MT-15 retains the 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm at 7,500rpm. This engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.

2023 Yamaha FZ-X

While the 2023 FZ-X has retained its overall styling, it boasts several new design elements to differentiate it from the previous model. To Begin with, the neo-retro motorcycle is now available with golden rims, LED indicators, and a new Dark Matt Blue tone. It is to be noted that the golden alloy wheels are offered exclusively with the new matte blue paint job. The two-wheeler maker also offers Matt Black and Matt Copper colours. In addition, the FZ-X comes with a Bluetooth-enabled LCD console. Powering the 2023 FZ-X is the 149cc, single-cylinder air-cooled motor making 12.4PS at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. It is coupled to a five-speed gearbox.

2023 FZ-S V4.0 DLX

Alongside the R15, FZ-X, and MT-15, Yamaha updated the FZ-S. The 2023 FZ-S V4.0 DLX features a new LED headlight, a pair of angular daytime running lights, LED blinkers, an LED taillight, and a traction control system. Interestingly, the naked motorcycle is available with three new colours, namely Metallic Grey, Majesty Red, and Metallic Black. The grey shade is paired with blue alloys, while the other two tones are offered with golden rims. The latter also gets a coloured seat. The 2023 FZ-S V4.0 DLX is powered by the 149cc, air-cooled single-cylinder SOHC engine coupled to a five-speed gearbox. It generates 12.4PS at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.

Meanwhile, the 2023 FZ-S V4.0 and FZ-X are now also compatible with E20 fuel. With this, Yamaha aims to make its line-up compatible with E20 fuel by the end of this year.
