Yamaha Ray Precious edition launched in India at Rs 48,605

The Ray was Yamaha's foray into 'scooter for girls' segment in India. Launched in 2012, Yamaha has now launched a special edition Ray. It is called the Ray Precious edition and is aimed at cashing in on the festive season. It is priced at Rs 48,605 ex-Delhi. It will be available till stocks last.

The Precious is just a paint and sticker job over the regular Ray.  A black paintjob, pink decals, 'Precious Edition' on top of the headlight and 'Ray Cygnus' written at the rear are the only changes.

The special edition Ray Precious comes as a result of Yamaha and a beauty pageant in India. Yamaha hasn't announced

The Ray's powertrain remains untouched. This means a 113cc air cooled 4 stroke SOHC engine that delivers 7.1PS and 8.1Nm of torque. The Ray also has a stablemate, Ray Z, which is an aggressive design targeted at the male audience. Prices for the Ray start from Rs 47,105 while the Ray Z starts at Rs 49,105, ex-Delhi.
