Yulu Wynn electric scooter: Highlights
The Yulu Wynn e-scooter will be available in Bangalore, Karnataka at first before arriving in other cities across the country sometime later this year. The company will provide various subscription packages depending on requirements of its customers.
Yulu has designed the Wynn for personal ownership and easy mobility. Customers do not need to register the e-scooter at any RTO nor require a driver's licence to ride it. The Wynn gets a swappable battery pack. Owners can swap its battery pack at any battery swapping station of the Yuma Energy âÂ" a joint venture of Yulu and Magna. Not only that, the users can also charge the Wynn at home using an optional portable charger. Currently, Yuma Energy has over 100 battery swapping stations and it aims to expand its network to 500 swapping stations by the end of this year.
Yulu Wynn electric scooter: Features and Colours
Yulu offers keyless access of the Wynn electric scooter to its customers via the Yulu smartphone app. The brand claims it is the first e-scooter in India that enables instant access sharing to friends and family. Meanwhile, the Wynn EV is available in a choice of two paint options: Moonlight White and Scarlet Red.
Yulu Wynn electric scooter: Production
It is interesting to note that Yulu will manufacture the Wynn EV at the CTL (Chetak Technology Limited) plant in Akurdi, Pune, Maharashtra. Inaugurated in June 2022, the CTL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bajaj Auto. Bajaj Auto manufactures the all-electric Chetak at the facility. The CTL has an annual production capacity of 500,000 two-wheeler electric vehicles. Notably, the iconic Chetak scooter was born at the same facility way back in 1970.
