Team OD Updated: May 09, 2013, 04:15 PM IST

Kawasaki has updated their KX450F & KX250F supercross motorcycles for 2013. This should help to continue their success in the FIM World Supercross Championships and the AMA Supercross Championships. The KX450F will feature Kayaba's new pneumatic front forks (PSF) which are lighter by 750 grams as they don't have any main spring. Stiffness can be adjusted by simply changing the air pressure in the forks.

A new piston, cam profiles and ECU settings complete the list of changes. The 2013 KX250F will be 4mm slimmer than the outgoing model and feature a new exhaust system, increased compression and dual injectors. The new 48mm Showa front separate function forks and new swing arm with revised suspension linkage system take care of the suspension duties. Both bikes are competition specific motorcycles and they won't be coming to our shores any time soon.
