2013 Porsche Panamera launched in India starting at Rs 1.19 crore

Porsche has launched the second-generation Panamera, its four-seater sports car, in India. It comes at a starting price of Rs 1.19 crore, ex-showroom Delhi.

Five models of the new Panamera are available for sale in India: the Panamera Turbo, the Panamera GTS, Panamera and Panamera 4 with a V6 petrol, and the Panamera diesel. The Panamera Turbo delivers 520PS of max power and reaches top speeds of around 305kmph and claimed average fuel efficiency of 9.8kmpl average. Its diesel model delivers 250PS of max power that is good for a top speed of 244 kmph. The claimed fuel efficiency, as expected, is much better than the Turbo at 15.9kmpl. (See table for price list)

The redeveloped Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox, tweaked suspensions, steering box mounts, new tyres, new 18inch alloys and a specifically tuned Porsche Stability Management (PSM) are changes incorporated in the new Panamera. Aesthetic changes include tighter creases, redesigned contours and body elements, widened rear windscreen, wider spoiler and optional LED headlights.

Added features include an electric sunroof, Porsche communication management and navigation, BOSE sound system, parking assist with reverse camera and air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Optional equipment available are full LED headlights featuring Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus and a 1000 W Burmester sound system. A Porsche exclusive programme is also available to further customise a Panamera.
