India will be the one of the first markets across the globe to receive the right-hand drive C-Class. As of now, we will be getting only the C200 petrol with the diesel variants set to follow later. In a departure from its regular practices, Mercedes-Benz India will not be manufacturing the new C-Class in the country. Instead it will come in via the CBU route (which means prices may go up). The one variant offered will be loaded with all the bells and whistles. The new C-Class could well be on its way to becoming the segment benchmark once again. There's a plethora of features in the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class and these include full LED headlamps with ILS (Intelligent Light System), 17-inch five-spoke alloys, touchpad infotainment system, keyless entry, multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters and many more.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine in the C-Class makes 181PS of power and 300Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox. Mercedes claims that the new C petrol can deliver 14.7km per litre. Seems like an interesting prospect. Here are some images of the new car.
