Harley-Davidson India has launched the 2018 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy in the country at a price of Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The 2018 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy is one of four 2018 Softail family motorcycles launched in India so far. Apart from the new Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-twin engine and the new lighter and stiffer chassis, the Fat Boy gets a modern-day makeover, upping the style game of this premium cruiser motorcycle. While the updates are rather stunning, the 2018 Harley-Davidson does not depart from its traditional strong, solid stance. Here is a look at the new Harley-Davidson Fat Boy that has come to define the image of cruisers in many a head over the years:
The modern update further adds to the aggressive steamroller stance of the original Harley-Davidson Fat Boy design
A look at either end and the word beefy comes to mind, with Harley-Davidson using its widest-ever 160mm front tyre and a 240mm rear tyre, both wrapped around solid Lakester wheels
Despite its visual heft, the new chassis and swingarm have resulted in a 16kg weight loss for the 2018 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy over its predecessor
The most stunning part of the motorcycle is the modern take on the headlight nacelle, which now houses a Daymaker LED Signature headlamp
The 2018 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy now gets ABS as standard
The Milwaukee-Eight 107 (1,745cc) 45-degree V-twin engine produces 148Nm of torque, which coupled with the weight loss will take this motorcycle to 100kmph 10 per cent quicker than the outgoing model
