2020 Vespa Racing Sixties launched at Rs 1.19 lakh
Piaggio India has launched the Racing Sixties scooter in India, that will be offered in 125cc and 150cc versions. The 125cc offering has been priced at Rs. 1.19 lakh whereas the more premium 150cc version will be available at Rs.1.32 lakh, both prices ex-showroom.
Vespa explains the Racing Sixties pays a tribute to the racing vehicles of 1960s, a remarkable era fuelled by its core spirit of speed and winning. Both the scooters are based on the Vespa SXL trims of 125cc and 150cc BS6 scooters.
The Racing Sixties, as the name suggests, comes with a 60s theme with a white bodywork, racing stripes, golden alloys and a contoured single seat. The features list also includes a windscreen, LED lights (also seen on the VXL and SXL facelifts), analogue-digital instrumentation that shows the essential information on fuel, trip, odometer and speedo. Also, the Racing Sixties sport DRLs, USB mobile charging port, boot light along with adjustable rear suspension much like the SXL facelift. From the looks of it, the Racing Sixties will have a premium appeal with its fit and finish that is also seen on the other Vespa scooters.
Commenting on the exciting launch of Vespa Racing Sixties, Diego Graffi, Chairman and MD, Piaggio India said, "We are delighted to introduce the special edition Vespa Racing Sixties. As an iconic brand with a longstanding legacy, Vespa continuously rediscovers itself by setting new trends which reflects its versatility to represent unique specialities of different times. The Vespa Racing Sixties is an exceptional representation in rediscovering the theme of racing machines from the golden racing era of 1960s. Acknowledging the spirit of time, it deftly combines heritage with present day advanced technology; the only brand to offer such specialty to the discerning customers who love to Vespa."

Also, it will be riding on 110/70R11 front and 120/70R10 rear tyres with single side arm front suspension and four-way adjustable rear suspension.
