2021 BMW Individual 740Li M Sport launched in India, priced at Rs 1.43 crore
BMW India has launched a new range-topping variant to add to the BMW 7 Series line-up in India. The BMW Individual 740Li M Sport is priced at Rs 1.43 crore and can be booked in limited numbers online on the BMW India website. The luxury sedan comes equipped with a full load of options from BMW Individual, the brand's customisation division.

The BMW Individual 740Li M Sport can be had in two paint options, Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey, exclusively through BMW Individual while two 20-inch alloy wheel choices are provided as well. The sedan comes with the M Sport visual enhancements while the headlamps feature BMW laser lighting tech. On the inside, there is more wood than in a regular 7 Series, with wood inlays to the roof handles clasp, rear seat belt clasp and rear-centre armrest cup holder. Other special touches are the Alcantara headlining with Ivory White and Canberra Beige highlights and the custom embroidered seat and headrest cushions.
This 7 Series is also equipped with an extended range of features from BMW Individual like the comfort access system, front and rear seat ventilation and heating, laminated glass and windscreen, soft close doors and the starked welcome light puddle lamps. This is in addition to a host of other features like ambient lighting, ambient air package, panoramic sunroof with the LED patterns, four-zone climate control, electrically adjustable comfort seats with a massage function. Rounding off the package is the two 10.2-inch screens for the rear passengers, a 7-inch tablet to use as a control module and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Other than this the usual array of connectivity features like wireless charging, wireless smartphone integration and the twin screens in the front are seen here as well.
BMW Individual 740Li M Sport engine, performance, safety
Powering the 740Li M Sport is the 3.0-litre inline-6 twin-turbo that puts out 340PS and 450 Nm and pairs with the eight-speed ZF torque-converter automatic. There is air suspension as standard, along with adjustable dampers. BMW claims the 740Li M Sport can do the 0 to 100 kmph run in 5.6s.
Safety features include a suite of driver assistance systems like the lane departure warning with the newly added lane centring function, driving assistant with a lane change warning, rear collision alert and crossing traffic alert, active side collision protection and the evasion assistant. Other safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, reversing assistant and remote parking.
BMW Individual 740Li M Sport rivals, price
The BMW Individual 740Li M Sport competes with the likes of the Audi A8L, the Lexus LS and the upcoming CKD versions of the new-gen Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Prices of the BMW 7 Series line-up start at Rs 1.38 crore for the 730Ld.
