2021 Hyundai i20 N Line launched in India, prices start from Rs 9.84 lakh
Hyundai has launched its first N Line performance-themed offering for the Indian market with the Hyundai i20 N Line. The prices for the i20 N Line start from Rs 9.84 lakh for the N6 iMT version. Bookings have already opened online and at Hyundai dealerships.
2021 Hyundai i20 N Line exterior and interior changes
The Hyundai i20 N Line comes with subtle styling updates to differentiate itself from the standard i20. The most noticeable of these is the chequered flag-themed front grille with the N badging, a sportier two-tone front bumper, chrome fog lamp housings and red accents on the front skid plates and side sills. These read accents carry over to the front brake callipers while there is a new N-branded design for the 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, there is a new spoiler, a twin-tipped exhaust outlet, wing spoiler and a brushed chrome highlight between the taillamps. There are four single tone and two dual-tone colour options to choose from.
Changes on the inside continue with a new N-badged steering wheel, red ambient lighting, a perforated N-branded gear knob, a chequered flag pattern and further N branding for the leatherette seats as well as an all-black theme with red highlights.
2021 Hyundai i20 N Line engine, gearbox and tuning
The sportier i20 carries over the same mechanical packge as the top petrol-powered Hyundai i20. The i20 N Line is being offered with the six-speed iMT or the 7-speed DCT gerabox option. Both are paired with the 1.0-litre three-cylinder T-GDi turbo-petrol which makes an appearance here in its 120PS and 172 Nm form. There are disc brakes all around, a throatier exhaust note, revised suspension tuning for shaper ride and handling and new steering tuning for better feel in a straight line. The DCT version comes equipped with paddle shifters.
2021 Hyundai i20 N Line variants, prices, features
Aside from the base N6 iMT already mentioned, the 2021 Hyundai i20 N Line can also be had in a better-equipped N8 variant. This is available with the iMT at Rs 10.87 lakh while the N8 DCT costs Rs 11.75 lakh. The dual-tone colour option is available on all three variants for an additional Rs 15,000. The features list remains largely similar to the standard i20.
