2022 Hyundai Tucson officially unveiled in India
Hyundai India has unveiled the 2022 Hyundai Tucson SUV, which will be the brand's top-of-the-line premium model. The new Hyundai Tucson is the first Hyundai in India to be introduced with ADAS technology after receiving mechanical and design improvements.
The Hyundai Tucson was initially introduced in India in 2005, and over time, the SUV underwent significant mechanical and design improvements. Hyundai refers to the new, updated style as "Sensual Sportiness," and has attractive creases and cuts all over its body. The striking dual-tone metal pattern highlights the design at the sides, while the stunning huge jewel-like grille is the focal point of the front.
When the 's LED DRLs are turned off, all that is visible is a sizable, black grille that has a geometric grille design. Sporty split tail lights and a light bar will be added to the profile's back end. Additionally, the rear bumpers will be reprofiled to feature a skid plate and turn and reverse lights that are set horizontally.
The SUV only has five seats, despite having a 2756 mm wheelbase. A set of 18-inch alloys are standard.
Powering the new Hyundai Tucson is a 2.0-litre engine in petrol and diesel guise. The diesel engine makes 189PS and 416 Nm of torque, while the petrol motor makes 155PS and 192 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic while the petrol engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The interior of the Hyundai Tucson receives updates as well, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and Hyundai's BlueLink connected technology, touch-operated climate control systems, ambient lighting, an electronic parking brake, a premium 8-speaker Bose audio system, voice command capabilities, wireless charging, reclining second-row seats, rain-sensing wipers, and much more.
A 360-degree camera, ascend and descend control, six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, automatic headlamps, tyre pressure monitoring system, and ADAS Level 2 are included in the safety features. These features also include cruise control with a stop and go feature, lane-keeping assist, high beam assist, vehicle departure alert, and more.
The new 2022 Hyundai Tucson will be offered in five single-tone and two dual-tone colour options such as Polar White, Phantom Black, Fiery Red, Amazon Grey and Starry Night. The dual-tone options are available with the Polar White and Fiery Red colour options. The Hyundai will be launched in August.
