2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift to get three CNG variants
Ahead of the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ertiga's launch on April 15, a leaked document has revealed that the refreshed MPV will be offered in 11 variants at launch. Interestingly, unlike the previous Maruti Ertiga which limited the CNG option to one variant, the CNG option will be offered on three variants.

The facelifted Ertiga will be offered with the CNG fuel option on the mid-spec VXI and ZXI trims, and also with the Tour M model for fleet operators. Aside from this, the base LXi variant will only be offered as a manual along with the petrol-powered Tour M. The rest of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift's variants - the VXi, ZXi and ZXi Plus - will be offered with either the five-speed manual or the new six-speed automatic.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift will be offered with seven metallic paint shades and expected features should be the new 7-inch Smartplay Pro infotainment system, paddle shifters for the auto variant and up to six airbags.

The document also confirms that the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will debut the K15C petrol motor in the Indian market. This is a development of the current K15B 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and should come with a 10PS bump in power, upping outputs to 115PS and 138 Nm. This motor has already debuted internationally on the Suzuki Vitara where it's paired with an electric motor. For the Ertiga, the motor will get the mild-hybrid electrical assistance already found on the pre-facelift MPV.
A more significant change is that the revised Ertiga will get a new six-speed torque converter automatic to replace the earlier four-speed units. This too has debuted on the Suzuki Vitara and in the XL6 should be accompanied by the five-speed manual.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift expected prices, rivals
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift should see a Rs 40,000 to 50,000 price increase. Currently, prices for the six-seater MPV start from Rs 8.12 lakh and go up to Rs 10.85 lakh.
