2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR facelift launched at Rs 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom)

Maruti Suzuki launched the facelifted WagonR 2022. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR's new pricing starts at 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom) and rises to 7.10 lakh for the top-spec version.

The redesigned Maruti Suzuki WagonR comes with a number of important new features, including ISS in petrol models and Hill Hold Assist in AGS models. A 7-inch SmartPlay Studio with smartphone navigation and four speakers has also been included. It is also backed by cloud-based services to provide clients with a connected driving experience.

New blacked-out alloy wheels have been added to the exterior of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR. On the top-spec ZXI+ model, a dual-tone colour is now available. The fabric in the cabin is now a new dual-tone beige and dark grey melange colour.

The 1.2-litre engine now generates 90PS, an increase of 9PS. The power of the 1-litre petrol has been lowered by 1PS, while the power of the CNG has been reduced by 2PS. The fuel economy of 1.2-litre engines has increased by up to 5kmpl, while 1-litre engines have improved by up to 4kmpl.

Introducing the Maruti Suzuki New WagonR, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, "Maruti Suzuki WagonR's continued success in the market is a testament to its undisputed reign as one of the most iconic Indian hatchbacks. Since its launch in 1999, WagonR has constantly evolved and risen to the pulse of the changing customer preferences with class-leading features, design and performance."

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR is available through Maruti Suzuki's monthly subscription service which starts from Rs 12,300. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR rivals the Tata Tiago, Datsun GO and Hyundai Santro.
