2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift variants revealed ahead of April 21 launch

Maruti Suzuki will launch the facelifted 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 in India on April 21. Following the launch of its twin, the Ertiga, on April 15. Bookings for both MPVs have begun across Arena and Nexa dealerships.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift variants

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift will continue with the same variant mix as before. So it will be available in two variants - Zeta and Alpha - in both manual and auto options. Expect more features like a 360-degree camera, six airbags, a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment among other things. The current version already gets LED lighting, auto headlamps, cruise control and climate control. The XL6 can also be expected to get CNG variants after launch.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift new engine, gearbox

Like the Ertiga, the 2022 XL6 is also expected to get the new K15C petrol motor. This is a development of the current K15B 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and should come with a 10PS bump in power, upping outputs to 115PS and 138 Nm. This motor has already debuted internationally on the Suzuki Vitara where it's paired with an electric motor. For the Ertiga, the motor will get the mild-hybrid electrical assistance already found on the pre-facelift Meruti Suzuki XL6 MPV. The new six-speed AT will also replace the older four-speed unit and may get paddle shifters.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift expected prices, rivals

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift should see a Rs 60,000 to 70,000 price increase. Currently, prices for the six-seater MPV start from Rs 10.14 lakh and go up to Rs 12.02 lakh. Te XL6 competes most closely with the naturally-aspirated variants of the Kia Carens.
