2023 Honda City facelift to get new variants
The upcoming 2023 Honda City facelift will be available in new entry-level variants. While the City facelift will get a new SV variant, the City e:HEV hybrid will boast a new V trim. Meanwhile, the refreshed City facelift will come equipped with a few additional features, including ADAS.
2023 Honda City facelift: Variants
With the new entry-level trim, the City facelift will be available in a choice of four primary variants: SV, V, VX, and ZX. On the other hand, the 2023 City e:HEV facelift will be offered in two trims: V and ZX trims.
2023 Honda City facelift: Design
On the outside, the 2023 City facelift will get new front and rear bumpers. The updated sedan will also feature a redesigned grille. In addition, Honda is expected to bestow it with a fresh set of alloy wheels and a new paint job. Currently, the City is available in five colours, Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Golden Brown Metallic. Meanwhile, the 2023 City e:HEV could come with the same updates as the City facelift.
2023 Honda City facelift: Interior
The upcoming City facelift is said to feature a wireless charging pad and ventilated front seats. However, it will retain the overall design and the eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a semi-digital instrument cluster.
2023 Honda City facelift: Features
Honda will offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with the City facelift. The sedan will likely bear the same ADAS features as the City e:HEV. Additionally, the City facelift could get a 360-degree camera and an electric parking brake with auto hold. Meanwhile, the brand will continue to offer six airbags, auto-dimming IRVM, eight speakers, leather upholstery, an electric sunroof, TPMS, VSA, AHA, HSA, TPMS, and connected car features with smartwatch connectivity, among others.
2023 Honda City facelift: Powertrain
The 2023 City facelift will get the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121PS and 145Nm of torque. It will come mated to a six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. On the other hand, the City e:HEV will also continue with the 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol motor that delivers a combined power output of 126PS and 253Nm of torque. This engine will be coupled to an eCVT automatic transmission.
2023 Honda City facelift: Launch and Rivals
Honda will likely launch the 2023 City facelift in the coming weeks. Upon launch, it will rival the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the all-new Hyundai Verna.
