2023 Tata Nexon: Variants explained

Tata Motors has updated its most popular vehicle the Tata Nexon and prices for the car begin from Rs 8.10 lakh. The long-awaited mid-life refresh has brought a slew of changes to one of the most successful cars in India, such as a fresh look, tech-laden cabin, additional features, advanced connectivity functions, and a new DCT gearbox.

Powering the Nexon facelift is a 1.2-litre, inline three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 120PS and 170Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit that generates 115PS and 260Nm of torque.

Along with a six-speed manual and an AMT, the petrol motor now can be mated to a new seven-speed DCT unit with shift-by-wire technology. Whereas, the diesel engine continues with the option of a six-speed manual or an AMT.

The Nexon comes in four different variants: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless. They also get optional packages with many features designated by a '+' suffix and a sunroof package denoted by S. Let's take a closer look at what each variant has to offer.
