Spy photos of the 2023 Yamaha FZ-X were recently leaked on the internet, hinting at its possible Indian market launch soon. With this, the neo-retro-style motorcycle is ready to receive various cosmetic updates and probably a handful of mechanical upgrades.

2023 Yamaha FZ-X: Design

The fresh design elements will be the crux of the updated FZ-X. Going by the spy photo, the motorcycle will come with an angular windscreen, a metal frame close to the fuel tank, and a raised front fender. However, it will retain the same projector headlamp and daytime running lights as the current model. In addition, Yamaha is expected to offer a few new colour options and graphics. Currently, the bike is offered in three paint options: Matte Black, Matte Copper, and Metallic Blue.

2023 Yamaha FZ-X: Features and Mechanicals

The FZ-X is believed to feature a dual-channel ABS setup instead of the single-channel ABS available on the on-sale model. It is also likely to continue with a single disc at the front and rear. Further, the motorcycle could carry forward its digital display with Bluetooth connectivity, Yamaha's Y-Connect app compatibility, telescopic front forks, and a rear mono-shock. The 2023 FZ-X, as seen in the spy photos, was equipped with golden rims.

2023 Yamaha FZ-X: Engine

The updated model of this neo-retro motorcycle is expected to use the same 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC motor mated to a five-speed gearbox. This engine delivers 12.4PS at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.

2023 Yamaha FZ-X: Price

While the FZ-X costs 1,34,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the upcoming version could be priced higher than the on-sale model, perhaps north of Rs 1.40 lakh.
