2024 Hyundai Alcazar India launch in September; bookings to open this month
Hyundai has set the stage to launch the updated Alcazar in India in September this year. Additionally, the bookings will open this month. As a part of the mid-life facelift, the seven-seat SUV will get several major updates to design, interior, feature-list, and probably powertrain.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Exterior & Interior
The latest test mule of the Alcazar SUV gave away some glimpses of its design. Going by the previous spy pictures, it is likely to get an upright front end, a larger grille, the new Santa Fe and Exter-inspired H-shaped daytime driving lights, a light bar running across its width, redesigned front and rear bumpers, Creta facelift-style vertically stacked LED headlamps, newly designed wheels, and reworked taillamps, among others.
Inside, the cabin is expected to come with a revamped dashboard and centre console. There could be a new steering wheel and fresh upholstery with dual-tone theme. The screens could be carried over from the outgoing model: the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster with a new UI.

Hyundai may offer it additional features, namely new telematics with SOS, updated Bluelink connected car tech, fast charging USB Type-C ports, upgraded sound system, 360deg camera, ventilated front seats, eight-way electronically adjustable driver's seat, wireless charging pad, Alexa support, rear reclining seats, ambient lighting, dual-zone temperature control, traction control, Level 2 autonomy, electronic stability control, six airbags, cooled glove box, hill hold control, TPMS, brake assist, four-wheel discs, and possibly rear seat entertainment package.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Powertrain
Along with the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine producing 160PS and 253Nm of torque, the Alcazar facelift could continue with the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel motor that generates 116PS and 250Nm. The engines are likely to be paired with a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Price & rivals
The Alcazar facelift is expected to attract a higher premium over with price starting at Rs 16-17 lakh and go up to 22 lakh. Once launched, the three-row SUV will rival Kia Carens, the Mahindra XUV700, Toyota Innova Crysta, Tata Safari facelift, and MG Hector Plus.
