2024 Jawa 42: Top highlights
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles recently introduced the 2024 Jawa 42 in India. The prices range between Rs 1,73,942 and Rs 1,98,142 (ex-showroom). The update brings six new colours, tweaked mechanicals, and above all, tuned up powertrain.
2024 Jawa 42: Engine specifications
Powering the 2024 Jawa 42 is an updated 294cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, called J-Panther, that makes 27.32PS and 26.84Nm of torque. The brand has reworked the motor for improvements, such as wider spread of torque, better low-end performance, and more importantly, enhanced refinement. Not only that, the six-speed gearbox has also been tweaked for smoother shifting experience. It also gets gear-based throttle mapping.
2024 Jawa 42: Design & Colours
While the design of the 2024 Jawa 42 remains exact to the previous model, it gets a range of new colour options, namely Vega White, Voyager Red, Asteroid Grey, Odyssey Black, Nebula Blue, and Celestial Copper Matte. With this, there are now 14 distinct paint schemes on offer across glossy and matte finishes.
Customers can also choose from Starship Blue, Cosmic Rock, Sirius White Matte, Orion Red Matte, Infinity Black Matte, All Star Black Matte, and Cosmic Carbon.
2024 Jawa 42: Features & hardware
Jawa has tweaked the suspension with improved damping and compression. There is also an updated seat for more comfort. Additionally, the 2024 Jawa 42 comes with a new assist-and-slip clutch. Other highlights include telescopic front forks, twin rear shocks, single disc at the front and rear, digital console, dual-channel ABS, and optional USB socket.
