2024 Tata Altroz to get additional features & new variants
Ahead of the launch of the Altroz Racer on 7 June, Tata Motors is said to be gearing up to update the standard Altroz. With this, the refreshed hatchback will come equipped with new features, new variants, and updated engine.
2024 Tata Altroz new features & variants
The updated Altroz will be available in 11 variants, including four new higher-spec variants. The variants are XE, XM, XM S, XM+, XM+ S, XT, XZ, XZ Lux, XZ+ S, XZ+ S Lux, and XZ+ OS.
The headline update for the hatchback is a list of additional features, which will include a new larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a seven-inch all-digital instrument cluster (both screens were introduced with the Nexon facelift), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six airbags, 360deg surround camera, an air purifier, and blind spot monitor. However, the Altroz will miss out on leatherette seats, which will be exclusive to the Altroz Racer.
2024 Tata Altroz engine specifications
The biggest change, under the bonnet, will be the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine no longer available for the hatchback. However, it will continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 88PS/115Nm, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol with iCNG with 73.5PS/103Nm, and the 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor with 90PS/200Nm. Transmission options will include a five-speed and a six-speed DCT.
