2024 Tata Nexon EV launched; prices start at Rs 13.99 lakh

After a year of the Nexon facelift launch in October 2023, the Tata Nexon EV has received a new update for the model with new prices starting at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). In fact, the facelifted model was introduced at Rs 14.74 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Customers can now also buy Nexon EV Red Dark version for an additional Rs 20,000.

2024 Tata Nexon EV: Variants & Colours

Unlike before, the 2024 Nexon EV is available in four variants: Creative 45, Fearless 45, Empowered 45, and Empowered+ 45. Colour options include Fearless Purple, Empowered Oxide, Flame Red, Daytona Grey, Intensi-teal, Creative Ocean, and Pristine White.

2024 Tata Nexon EV: Range, battery & charging

The Nexon EV benefits from the Curvv EV's 45kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 489km, however, the real-world range will be different. In the Curvv EV, the same battery pack offers a range of 502km. But, it is not clear yet whether it will continue with the 30.2kWh and 40.5kWh units, which with their new electric motor produced 129PS/215Nm and 145PS/215Nm, respectively. The EV can be charged with a 7.2kW AC Type-2 charger, while there is now a 60kW DC fast charging option available, which can claim to charge the EV in 40 minutes from 10-80 per cent. The fast charger can also provide a 130km range in 15 minutes at a suitable charging station.

2024 Tata Nexon EV: Highlights

Apart from the new panoramic sunroof, the 2024 Nexon EV keeps the same features, namely vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-load (V2L), a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a nine-speaker JBL sound system, "Hey Tata" voice assistant support along with integrated Siri, Alexa, and Google assistants, OTT apps compatibility with Disney Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video, paddle shifters, 360deg camera, updated ZConnect app, front parking sensors, height-adjustable co-passenger seat, new telematics, blind spot view monitor, and 45W USB Type-C port, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, among others.
