2024 Triumph Tiger 900 GT, Tiger 900 Rally Pro launched; prices start at Rs 13.95 lakh

Triumph Motorcycles India has introduced the 2024 Tiger 900 line-up in India. Unlike the previous models, the 900 range is now available only with two trims, namely â€" the Tiger 900 GT and Tiger 900 Rally Pro. The Tiger 900 Rally is no longer available, while the GT Pro is not sold in the Indian market. The prices of the entry-level Tiger 900 GT start at Rs 13,95,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the range-topping Tiger Rally Pro is priced Rs 15,95,000 onwards (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is to be noted that the 2024 model year updates have made them costlier by Rs 15,000 and Rs 45,000, respectively.

2024 Triumph Tiger 900 GT and Tiger 900 Rally Pro: Powertrain

The most significant update comes in the form of a more powerful 888cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This motor now makes 13 per cent more power, generating 108PS at 9,500rpm and a peak of torque of 90Nm at 6,850rpm. Notably, it also provides nine per cent improved fuel economy. Mated to this engine is a six-speed gearbox.

Another notable update for the 2024 Tiger 900 is the new seven-inch colour TFT display â€" derived from its elder sibling, the Tiger 1200 â€" with fresh graphics and menu. This now offers Bluetooth connectivity and a Type-C USB port as standard.

Triumph has improved braking of the 2024 Tiger 900 for better control and reduced stopping distances. It has also given a new emergency deceleration warning system, which activates the hazard lights while braking rapidly and automatically deactivates once pulled away. Other highlights of the 2024 Tiger 900 include a new rider seat, a damped handlebar mounting system, and an improved handlebar position on the Tiger 900 Rally Pro (with the bar 15mm closer).

The hardware on the Tiger 900 includes Brembo Stylema Monoblock brake callipers, Marzocchi (Showa units for Rally Pro with longer travel) 45mm upside-down forks with rebound and compression damping adjustability, a mono-shock with preload and rebound damping adjustability, ride modes (road, rain, off-road, and sport), optimised cornering ABS and traction control, and ride-by-wire throttle, among others. 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 GT and Tiger 900 Rally Pro: Design

The 2024 mode year update has brought fresh design elements across its beak, instrument cluster area, and side panels for a sportier appearance. Triumph offers three new paint schemes with each model. The GT comes in Carnival Red, Snowdonia White, and Graphite, whereas the Rally Pro is available with Matte Khaki Green, Ash Grey, and Carbon Black.

A new Akrapovi silencer has been added to the list of over 50 optional accessories and customers can also choose from four custom accessory packs: Performance, Protection, Trekker and Expedition.
