2025 BMW i4 makes global debut
Three years after its launch, the all-electric BMW i4 four-door liftback received a slight update. The i4 will have sharper headlights, a slightly modified grille, and taillights. The updated EV is available in 4 variants, eDrive35, eDrive40, xDrive40 and M50 xDrive.

Starting at the front, the headlights have been updated with LED graphics that include boomerang-style DRLs. The grille has been modified, with the surround now coated in matte chrome, both as standard and when equipped with the M Sport package.
Cape York Green Metallic and Vegas Red Metallic are two new exterior colours available as adjustable options. i4 owners will now be able to choose from a number of new alloy wheel options, including 19-inch M Aero bi-colour wheels available in the M Sport package.
The car's rear aspect has undergone slight alterations, including a new gloss black diffuser in the lower bumpers. BMW is providing consumers with the i4 option to choose Laserlight taillights.
2025 BMW i4: Powertrain
The eDrive35 and eDrive40 produce 286PS/400Nm of torque and 340PS/430Nm of torque respectively. While the eDrive35 has a range of 386 to 500 km on the WLTP cycle, the more powerful car has a range of 468 to 600 km.
The i4 xDrive40 with all-wheel drive has 401PS and 600Nm of torque and can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.1 seconds. It has a range of 444 to 548 km. The most powerful i4 though only has a range of 413 to 522 km but can do the 0 to 100 kmph sprint in 3.9 seconds. That's thanks to the 544PS and 795Nm of torque it can put down through all four wheels.
Save for the eDrive35 which uses a 70.2kWh battery pack, the remaining cars use a larger 83.9kWh battery that can charge from 10 to 80 percent using a 205 kW in just 30 minutes.
2025 BMW i4: Interior
Inside, the redesigned i4 has the automaker's newest iDrive infotainment system, which is powered by BMW Operating System version 8.5. The multimedia package may be combined with a curved display and the Live Cockpit Professional feature, which includes a full-colour head-up display and the ability to show the driver an augmented reality movie on the centre screen while using the navigation system.
