MG Motor UK has introduced the new MG ZS Hybrid+ in the United Kingdom. The second generation model brings a fresh design, revamped cabin, and a new self-charging hybrid powertrain. For the UK, the new ZS Hybrid+ is available in two trim levels: SE and Trophy, with the SE starting from just £21,995 and the range topping Trophy variant priced from £24,495.

2025 MG ZS Hybrid+: Design & Interior

The new ZS draws inspiration from the MG3 supermini and the flagship MG HS. Just like its siblings, it gets a distinctive front grille with integrated thin air inlets. An MG badge is now moved to just below the bonnet, plus there is full-LED lighting at both ends, and new 18-inch alloy wheels. It has a boot space of 443-litre, which is marginally smaller than the previous figure. But when the rear seats are folded, it opens up 1,457-litre of boot space - about 82-litre more over its predecessor.

Inside, the revamped interior gets an all-black colour theme, featuring a new 12.3-inch infotainment display with navigation and live services, a seven-inch all-digital instrument panel, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, rear privacy glass, artificial leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, six-way powered driver's seat with lumbar support, a 360deg camera, wireless charging pad, MG iSmart connectivity, three driving modes, three regenerative modes, and electric parking brake with auto hold.

MG has also given it six airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS, ESP, hill start assist, and EBA. Additionally, the new ZS hybrid+ gets MG Pilot with adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, active emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and rear cross traffic alert.

2025 MG ZS Hybrid+: Powertrain

Powering the new ZS is 102PS 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a 136PS/250Nm motor for a combined output of 196PS. With this, it can go from zero to 100kmph in 8.7 seconds. There is a 1.83kWh battery pack that is recharged by a 45kW generator to offer the short EV-only driving with an improved fuel economy and low CO2 emissions of 115g/km.
