The Aprilia Tuono 457 is now featuring on the official Indian website and we can expect the launch soon. This is the naked sibling of the RS 457 which will set you back by Rs 4.10 lakh ex-showroom. We can expect the price to be less than that of the fared version and thus making it a lucrative offering that will lock horns with the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310 R and Yamaha MT 03 to name a few.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 will be the second offering on the 457 platform and making it one of the cheaper twin-cylinder offering from Aprilia. It will draw power from the same 457-cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gear box with a bi-directional quick-shifter. The engine pushes a good 47.6 PS of power and 43.5 Nm of peak torque, we can expect a different state of tune and some difference in the power figures as well. The Aprilia 457 with the same engine weighs just 159 kg and we can expect the Tuono 457 to be lighter, which means that it will be a little more quick on its feet.

In terms of looks, the Aprilia Tuono 457 has quite the road presence, courtesy goes to the sculpted tank, extended tank shrouds, compact headlamp design and the red highlights present everywhere. From the brake levers to the chain set, you can spot the red accents all over the bike which makes it look quite aggressive, especially the ones on the headlamp unit and on the tank, even the footpegs have been done in red. Along with that, you get an underbelly exhaust unit and neatly tucked grab rails for the pillion that diffuse cohesively in the rear section, neatly done.

The rider triangle will also be a little different when compared to the sister model, we can expect less aggressive riding position with room to toggle from engaged posture to neutral sitting which makes it the ideal for city riding and the occasional spirited highway stints. It gets a flat handlebar, two-piece seat, a 5-inch TFT dash, ride-by-wire, ride modes, LED lighting, dual-channel ABS and traction control system to name a few.

When it comes to cycle parts, the Aprilia Tuono 457 will ride on 17-inch wheels with disc brakes on either ends. Suspension duties will be done by USD forks upfront and a monoschock unit at the rear.
