We have seen auto manufacturers bring out special edition versions of their existing products to celebrate an anniversary. Heck, we have even witnessed all-new limited edition cars/bikes for the same occasion. Aston Martin is not one to be left behind in this race. Celebrating its centenary in style, the British car maker unveiled its new CC100 Speedster Concept at the Nurburgring circuit. The 6-litre naturally aspirated V12-engined car made its world debut at Germany's ADAC Zurich 24 Hours of Nürburgring race alongside the iconic 1959 DBR1 driven by none other than Sir Stirling Moss.

The CC100 Speedster Concept which was conceived in just six months, can race from 0-100kmph in just four seconds with a top whack of around 290kmph. While Aston is yet to mention any details about the production run of this car or even it making to the showrooms, the company says that the CC100's design may be used for its future cars. And as we know, supercar makers indulge their faithful clientele big time and in due course, we may just happen to hear or read about how some Chinese customer's CC100 Speedster is ready for delivery with red dragon livery and all.

Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez on the occasion of the unveiling of the CC100 Speedster said: "CC100 is the epitome of everything that is great about Aston Martin. It represents our fantastic sporting heritage, our exceptional design capability, our superb engineering know-how and, above all, our adventurous spirit!"
