Ather 450X electric scooter gets more affordable; prices start at Rs 98,183
Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy has rejigged the 450X line-up in India. The electric scooter is now available in two versions: the 450X standard and the 450X with Pro-Pack, priced at Rs 98,183 and Rs 1,28,443 (both ex-showroom, Delhi, including the state subsidy). These prices also include a home EV charger.
Ather 450X and 450X with Pro-Pack: Powertrain
Both variants of Ather's e-scooter come equipped with a 3.7kWh battery pack and an electric motor that makes 6.4kW and 26Nm of torque. More importantly, the electric scooter offers a certified range of 146km. It is to be noted that the range of the Pro-Pack version differs depending on the riding modes. Speaking of which, the 450X with Pro-Pack gets a wide range of riding modes, such as Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp. Meanwhile, with a top speed of 90kmph, the 450X and 450X Pro-Pack can achieve zero to 40kmph in 3.3 seconds. In terms of charging, the 450X with Pro-Pack gains faster charging capability and hence access to Ather Grid charging network over the standard 450X.
Ather 450X and 450X with Pro-Pack: Features
While both versions offer the same battery pack, an electric motor, and performance, they are poles apart when it comes to features. Ather has bestowed the range-topping the 450X with Pro-Pack with seven-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, Google Maps support, 4G connectivity, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and themes. Additionally, it benefits from a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), park assist, music and call control, guide-me-home light, hill assist with auto hold, Ather Connect Pro, and auto indicator off. On the other hand, the standard version comes with a plain vanilla display.
Ather 450X and 450X with Pro-Pack: Colours and Warranty
The 450X and 450X with Pro-Pack are available in six paint options: Space Grey, Still White, Salt Green, True Red, Cosmic Black, and Lunar Grey. The electric scooter maker offers the same three years/30,000km warranty on the 450X and 450X with Pro-Pack. However, the battery pack warranty for the standard version is three years/30,000km, while the Pro-Pack equipped version provides five years/60,000km warranty.
