Ather Energy has achieved a significant two lakh unit production milestone. Notably, this accomplishment has come after the company crossed one lakh unit production mark at the beginning of 2023. The Bangalore-based start up had entered the electric two-wheeler space with the first-ever offerings, the 450X and 450 Plus in January 2020.

Tarun Mehta, CEO, Ather Energy shared the achievement on his X (formally Twitter) handle and said, "We started this year with the milestone of 100k and are ending rather action packed year with 200k!"

Ather 450X and 450S

Currently, Ather Energy sells the 450X and 450X with Pro pack alongside its most affordable electric scooter in the line-up, the 450S, which is priced at Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom). The 450X is available with a choice of two battery options, 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh. It has a certified range of 150km with a top speed of 90kmph. The key features of the e-scooter include park assist, auto hold, fall safe function, and a seven-inch TFT touchscreen integrated with Google Maps, among others.

Further, the 450S provides a certified range of 115km and a top speed of 90kmph. This e-scooter comes equipped with a deep view display, fall safe function, park assist, emergency stop signal (ESS), and coasting regen.

New Ather 450 Apex

That being said, Ather is readying its most powerful electric scooter, the 450 Apex, for the market launch on 6 January, 2024. It is likely to get a more powerful electric motor exceeding the power output of 6.4kW of the 450X and a top speed greater than 90kmph. In fact, the recent teasers of the 450 Apex revealed a new Warp+ riding mode for the upcoming e-scooter.
