Audi A8L launched in India, prices starts from Rs 1.29 crores

Audi India has finally launched the all-new 2022 Audi A8 L at an introductory price of Rs 1.29 crore for the Celebration edition. Bookings for the Audi A8 L began on 8 May at a token amount of Rs 10 lakh and Audi has confirmed that the has received a lot of pre-orders.

The Audi A8 L Technology edition sits at the top with a price tag of Rs 1.57 crore.

The Audi A8 L for 2022 has a new chrome radiator grille, revamped front bumper with chrome accents, and updated LED Matrix headlights. The rear boasts elegant OLED taillights with a light bar that runs the length of the vehicle.

A 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 48 V mild-hybrid system will power the new A8 L. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive technology, producing 340PS and 500 Nm.

Audi claims a 0 to 100 kmph sprint in 5.7 seconds.

On the inside is where the Audi A8 L shines the most. In terms of in- technologies, the gets a 10.1-inch main infotainment screen and another screen below it that controls most of the basic functions around the cabin, as well as an Audi digital cockpit in front of the driver.

The experience in the backseat is the focus, and just like before, you can the with the optional twin individual seats in the top-spec Technology trim, which enhances the level of luxury throughout. Additionally, there is a screen in the armrest that can be used to operate the infotainment system, ambient lighting, heated and ventilated seats, and other amenities for passengers in the backseat.

The A8L has a ton of goodies, including dynamic suspension, head-up display, digital driver's display, front and rear massaging seats, 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, 30-colour ambient lighting and 4-zone temperature control. 8 airbags (10 optional), electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera are some of the basic safety features for passengers.

The Audi A8 L will be available in 8 colour pallets such as Terra Grey, District Green, Firmament Blue, Floret Silver, Glacier White, Manhattan Grey, Vesuvius Grey and Mythos Black

The Audi A8 L will renew its rivalry against the Mercedes Benz S-class and BMW 7-series
